The hubby introduced me to an old but still relevant British sitcom about a lower middle class family up north - the Royle Family. The series is a snapshot of a British family life. The show is so funny, with all characters so relatable (and I’m not even British!). And oh, who can forget the brilliant lines, mostly from the dad, Jim “my arse” Royle. He cracks me up big time.
About the series: Filmed in real-time,and set in the front-room of a Manchester council house.The show follows the antics of a couch-potato family gathered around their telly.The kettle is on,and the ashtray is empty,so come in and take a load off.
After watching all of the 3 series (6 eps each) and a handful of Christmas specials, I am actually missing the Royles.
